Maestro Error

Whenever I would start LoL on Garena, it would load everything, except there will be an error that says "There was an error connecting with Maestro. LoL will now exit. Please try restarting the application." then clicking on "OK" (which is the only available option) will close the entire thing.

I tried restarting not only LoL but GAreane and even my computer as well, but it still gives me the same error.

Would anyone be so kind and give me solutions on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

my firewall wasn't enabled when that occurred.

Maestro errors usually occur:

1. When logging in to PVP.net
2. After champion select, while the game client is opening
3. After a game ends, while PVP.net is trying to reopen

Errors with maestro are typically caused by:

1. Software based firewalls (Zone Alarm, Windows Firewall, etc.)
2. Anti-Virus software
3. Malware Scanners
4. Process Protection software
5. Not running the game with Windows administrative privileges
6. User Account Control settings (Windows Vista and Windows 7)

If you are receiving maestro errors, disable any potential software that can stop cross process talking. Once you can create a setup that allows you to maintain your connection, start enabling the programs one at time until you can narrow down exactly what program is causing the problem.

For those with software based firewalls: you can specify which processes the firewall will give unrestricted access to. You should add the following .exe files to their lists of exceptions.


C:\Program Files\Garena Messenger\Apps\lolph\lol.exe
C:\Program Files\Garena Messenger\Apps\lolph\Game\League of Legends.exe
C:\Program Files\Garena Messenger\Apps\lolph\Air\LolClient.exe


Your firewall may also have the option to open specific ports for communication. The ports that needs to be open for Maestro to work properly are 80 and 8393.

the game was working perfectly for me at first but then the maestro error just popped up... i think it started when the garena messenger was updated...
