    Rampage 2017 Feedback and Suggestions

    Naging ok ba ang experience nyo? Nag-enjoy po ba kayo sa program? Ano ung inaasahan nyo next Rampage? Nais po namin malaman mula sa mga dumalo sa kakatapos lang na Rampage 2017 ang inyong feedbacks sa nasabing event at ano ang mga suggestions nyo.

    Organisadong pila. Ang tagal namin sa labas ng WTC tapos inabot pa ng ulan. Kung pwede sana na sa loob ulit ng WTC, parking lot ang pila at may mga canopy tent para kung sakaling masama ang panahon at di mabilad sa araw.

    Premium Ticket Lane. Maraming nagrereklamong Premium Ticket holders na di nakakapasok agad. Siguro pwede naman silang papasukin agad dahil meron silang special area sa loob ng event.

    Event Activities. Pansin din po namin na kakaunti na lang ang activities sa loob di tulad ng nakaraang Carnival.

    Merchandise. Maganda po ngayon ang kalidad ng merchandise niyo, sayang nga lang at mukhang hindi naging profitable ang Riot Merch kaya wala sila ngayong taon. Oras na para sa locally manufactured figures?

    Viewing Area. Nakakanood naman po ang mga dumalo dahil sa mga screens na nilagay sa event. Sayang nga lang at mukhang di gumagana yung sa labas ng WTC.

    Maraming salamat po at hanggang sa susunod na Rampage.

    Feedback:
    Ang pinakasakit lagi ng RAMPAGE EVENT eh yung sobrang tagal na pila. 7hours po kaming nakapila sa labas inabot n ng init at ulan halos may sakit n yung iba kong kaibigan dahil dyan. Yan lang kelangan nyong resolbahan. Yung mga Officers nyo din sa pila mga walang initiative kundi p ako magsasuggest walang mangyayari eh. Parang robot kung ano lang sinabi sa kanila ng heads nyo yun lang sinasabi sa amin.

    Suggestion:
    Mas maganda kung pinapapasok nyo n agad yung premium holders maski 30mins bago magsimula ang program kahit nakatambay lang sila sa hallway. Or mas maganda kung nakukuha agad freebies ng premium sa office ng Garena pagkabili na pagkabili ng ticket. Antagal magfinalization ng designs etc. Para nmn may choice kame kung papasok p kame kung sobrag tagal nnmn ng pila minsan sa freebies n lang kame nanghihinayang eh kaya nagtitiis n lang kaming pumila. Kumuha n kayo ng bagong set ng Event organizers kasi taon taon palpak sila eh. Ampanget na ng image nyo.

    Suggestions/comments: We, my friends and I, came all the way from Ilocos Sur, we bought a premium ticket to have the complete experience. We arrived at the venue of the event, World Trade Center, 8:00 am we thought 1 hour should be more than enough to enter the venue, observe ko na wala man lang shade yung mga nakapila sa labas eh angsama ng panahon, pano po pag nagkasakit kami? Nasa gilid lang kami ng kalsada, pano kung may accidente? when we arrived at the entrace, I have observed that the whole entrace process should only take a few minutes or so, the problem why the it took us 5 hours to enter the venue is the lack or personnels assisting the viewers and there were no proper segregation of duties. Before entering, we were forced to leave our ballpens, food and anything that is pointed (and yes we understand those protocol, what we didn&apos;t understand is that you&apos;ve lost them, the standing committees didn&apos;t even help us in finding them, they just uttered &quot;pag wala na po dito sa table, may kumuha ng iba&quot; afterwards when we can&apos;t find our items, they suggest us to get something else instead, now the question is, is that how they should resolve things, they are planning to resolve the current problem my creating another problem in the future, Someone stole your things, so thus that gave us the right to stole someone else. I acknowledge my fault because I trusted them so much, we forgot to be skeptic, yet my question is, bakit yung nagbabantay noong iniwan namin yung gamit eh di na sila yung bumabantay nung cliname namin, with all the foods, ballpens and yung pasalubong kong galing ilocos, that should cost at least 700-800, mahal kasi yung mga ballpen namin, pentel tapos yung pasalubong di din po maliit na halaga di man lang binantayan ng maigi, wala lang, naobserve din ng kasama ko na amoy alak yung isa tapos tinatawanan lang yung mga nawala namin gamit? Ganyan po ba dapat?) Ok lets end it there.<br>
    lets go to the redeeming of the freebies , when we bought the tickets, you&apos;ve asked for our sizes and things, I thought, wow, they have good control, or is it?, When we redeem the freebies, &quot;Sir, medium nalang po meron, &quot;Sir ubos napo lanyard&quot;, &quot;Sir wala napo yung hoodie, kung gusto nyo refund nalang po kayo or balik kayo sa september 8&quot; bakit po ganun? from the start po andun na po, meron na po mga sizes na binigay so alam niyo na po yung ipreprepare, tapos wala? Babalik pa po kami sa september 8? Next time po paki indicate napo sa ticket yung sizes o kaya may control na nasa ticket, example ticker number 6193 size Medium, sinabi nyo afterwards na you sincerely apologize for the inconvenience pero di po namin ramdam yung sincerity, ni walang compensation, assistance or initiative na ideliver yung freebies ng mga nawala, bliname nyo lang sa mga nagdeliver, which is very unprofessional because what happened is reflective on your poor internal control, 1 more thing po parang palusot lang yung about delivery problems kasi mismong sa date ng event may binebenta na premium tickets which were not fully controlled kasi parang nakaclaim parin sila ng freebies eh. Tapos yung whole experience namin na inaasahan namin naging disappointment after disappointment, nagstart yung event na mostly ng viewers nasa labas, nakikinood ng live sa facebook. Sana po magimprove kayo next year, eh kung di talaga kaya, sana maghire nalang kayo ng organizer ng event. You&apos;ve failed to perform/deliver the things due, You&apos;ve failed to protect the rights of your ticket holders, you&apos;ve failed to protect our health, your organizers are even laughing at our misfortune and we deserve just compesation for the damages you&apos;ve caused us. Pero we still love lol, nakakaRAMPAGE LANG ANG RAMPAGE

    PROS: Celebrity Showdown 2 - this was ONLY the highlight of Rampage 2017

    CONS:
    - Line - the at 8AM reached from WTC to Dampa. We had no visibility on the volunteers that are assigned to it (well at least 4 then they disappeared). I started falling in line at 8AM and I was able to get inside by 1PM. Nice.

    - Space - area is now compacted with very minimal space to move. Also, the area on the other side (the tent area), there was a lot of space that could have been used for people to sit and watch there instead.

    - Volunteers - Less visible volunteers for this year compared to last year. Mostly we saw were bouncers. And we had to distinguish the volunteers by their ID Lace? Really? That's cute. Who would have made that idea? There were also rumors that there were volunteers that redeemed early before the people who went in and then they vanished? Well, rumors are rumors until proven. Maybe you should choose your volunteers more carefully.

    - Planning - there were also rumors (still a rumor until proven) that Rampage wasn't fully planned since people behind Rampage were focused on the GPL then when GPL finished, that's when they move on to Rampage. (April 16 was the date when GPL happened here)

    - Bouncers - I think that the bouncers were different from last year.

    - Redemption of Swag - I didn't know where it was until somebody pointed it out to me. LOL. I didn't notice it due to the people swarming it and there were no signs saying redemption is there.

    All in all, I just went to Rampage to redeem the merchs and get money from people who owe me.

    So much for buying Premium tickets. I didn't feel that 1500 is worth it with this treatment.

    NOTE: Rampage is your once-a-year event to milk out the cash from the players. Make it worthwhile.

    A well thought review of rampage 2017, A semi-rant.

    Let's focus on one topic first before everything else: The line.


    Exhibit A
    Spoiler:


    This was taken during the Rampage 2013 at 7:15 am. Note that there was a proper line without personnel.

    10 am.

    The line was gone, everybody is trying to fit in one entrance point. I was a victim on it.
    Not everyone was able to get a ticket, so garena decided that everyone that had an active account would receive riot Nasus and/or riot graves.

    This was taken during Rampage 2014, hands down the best Rampage I've seen so far.

    There's a line for each ticket holder, on which deluxe and premium would be having their own line compared away from the regular ticket.

    This regular ticket line is seen clearly over the shoulder of the guy.

    But here's the catch, the congested line you see? There are people actually handling the line, so everyone gets to go in accordingly.

    This mess of a line is Rampage 2017.

    They made the regular,deluxe, and premium ticket holders line up in the same line.

    This line would go way past the Philippine Airlines Facility, and behind a storage house.

    I even fought with one of the staff members about the worth of the tickets.

    And I quote "If you dropped a regular and a premium ticket and stomped it on the floor, they would have equal value"

    Premium is 1.5 k php
    Regular is a 'measly' 300 php

    What I'm saying is, if Garena wants to improve on conventions like these, they should really start managing the people first, not the event.

    If the people started complaining, the event itself would become an utter disaster.

    Here are the other things I would like to emphasize on:

    On the Security and Staff:

    Rampage is an ever-growing event, and the number of people who'll attend this event will keep getting higher and higher. So an increase of security and staff would help not only the event, but the people attending the event as well.

    On the Redemption of Freebies:

    Comparing it to the line of the merchandise caravan, this was more dreadful. Everyone is trying to squeeze in, hoping to get in the front of the line only to be turned down by the staff because their ticket isn't marked and/or has a date at the back.

    To cope with this, add rails.
    Rails not only helps you with the arrangement of people lining up in the redemption booth, with the help of security, it wouldn't be as congested as this year's line.

    About the shortage of freebies, that is the responsibility of your company, and be prepared to give out compensations for the people who did not get their merch that day.

    On the Rental Cafe/Lan Party:

    If you have noticed, there was a huge long line separating the entrance of the convention from the doors leading outside the convention.

    For a good 30 minutes, I've been asked by people to move because that was the sole space they can go through.

    Why can't you let people line up on the second floor instead? Not only does the line disperse from the first floor, but you can arrange a line on the second floor so that it wouldn't be crowded downstairs.

    Of course, you have to take in consideration the escalator going to the second floor, in which people will try desperately to get to the next floor. In which, is acceptable this year because this was technically the first time rampage tried to set up a cafe on the second floor on the building.


    The Event Overall:

    I was not able to embrace the event to it's fullest. This was because of all of these factors were piling up and gave me the biggest headache of my life. It was fun taking pictures of cosplayers though, in which I would like to appreciate on.

    Hopefully, next year's rampage would be as organized like Rampage 2014, and as exciting as Rampage 2016.

    Don't disappoint us.

    Also, please put Rampage 2018 on a SATURDAY..

    Your demographic would consist of mainly highschool and college students. So putting this on a saturday would bring more people in, as well as a well thought preparation on how the event will begin.

    Bring back the Official Riot merchandise as well.

    I don't know where to start. Advance apologies if I mess up my typing and is off-putting. Currently having a flu.

    The Line:

    This was the most disorganized Rampage I've ever been to and I've been attending it since the first year you created it. You were getting better with the organization but suddenly fell flat on this year's event.

    The line snaked outside of the venue and mother nature was being a little witch. You should have put at least a few big tents on field area to shelter people from the heat+rain. Line category was also very confusing. Every one on the same line. Upon reaching the gate, you suddenly segregated people with the type of ticket they're holding. Why weren't they segregated in the first place? Wouldn't it have been easier for your marshalls and the attendees?

    The Venue:
    The venue is getting smaller don't you think?

    More signs would have been appreciated. Yes you may have big signs but you won't be able to see those in different angles. Pointing to my first problem, the lines inside was a mess. Even your marshalls didn't know where the end of the line was. A point man would have great to at least break the confusion.

    An event map would also have been great for people. Make it be on paper or a jpeg picture that they can grab from your website. Call me stupid, but I spent a lot of time looking for the merch area. Had to ask a marshall and he also didn't know where it was. You guys also need to have more of those wrist bands. It's tiring pulling out my ticket every time just to get from one check point to another, just because you ran out.

    Freebies and Merchandise:

    This is where you guys screwed people big time. Running out of something that people anticipated to get with their very expensive tickets is like a kick to the head. I did read your Facebook post and understood that. It's just that for a company who introduces this event annually is beyond sloppy. Where were the feedback from the previous years? I myself was not affected by the fiasco but the options that you gave people is not enough.

    Let me explain why:

    1> The supposedly premium exclusive jacket was ultimately sold to the common public. Takes out the premium in the premium.

    2> Letting premium people wait for a month is basically salting their wounds. Drains the premium out of the premium even further. You know how many people I've talked to said the they just wasted money on the premium tickets? Most feedback I got from them is; they should have just bought the stuff in the caravan and watched the whole event via stream or something. Takes out the exhaustion.

    3> After salting their wounds, you rub citrus on them by telling them to go to your office. Some of these people traveled from outside Manila. And you're expecting them to waste more money to travel expenses for items that have lost their value. You're a software company that's richer than the common folk, why not offer a few of your caravans to actually dive outside Manila and at least shorten the travel time for these people?

    Basically, these people got tired from traveling, had hope for the premium exclusivity that they paid for and got disappointed in the end because of a small inventory mishap. In my opinion, Garena should compensate these people by giving them more than what Garena owes. These people felt screwed. These people has put up with the stress of going to a disorganized event and has endured the weather for the event.

    I do understand that you offered them a refund. But you already made them hope. You already made them look forward to the stuff that they should have gotten. You can't compensate the preparation these people made to traverse the outside world just to get to that event with a refund. I know you have a heart Garena, so do the right thing and think of a way to compensate these people that is actually worth with all the frustrations that they have received.

    I guess I'm ending here for now. Hopefully, next year would be better. Learn from this year and study the previous ones.


    Also, for the people attending Rampage or to any social event.....

    WEAR DEODORANT. IT ISN'T EXPENSIVE AND IT'S NOT HARD TO APPLY. STANDING IN LINE FOR HOURS WITH PEOPLE THAT SMELLS LIKE SWEAT AND MASTURBATORY FLUIDS ISN'T HEALTHY FOR ANYONE. BRING A HANDKERCHIEF TOO. EVERYONE LOOKING LIKE THEY TOOK A JOG IS EXHAUSTING TO STARE AT DESPITE US JUST STANDING.

    P.S Celebrity Show match was great.

    #PlsMakeRampage2018SUNDAYAgain

    We are really grateful that Rampage is held on Sunday because we always had classes every Saturdays. My friends and I are rooting to go in this event since 2014 but we are having a problem on the scheduled day therefore I am grateful to Garena and LoL PH this year because they scheduled it on Sunday and plss schedule the Rampage 2018 on SUNDAY again so that we can go again.

    By the way it is our first time to attend such event and the only problem for me that should be improved is the line management and the time when the players should be inside, I mean we can take consideration of the fact that the event starts at 9 am therefore you can start letting people inside by 7 or 8 so that at exactly 9 half or even most of the players are already inside and enjoying themselves. It is not an issue not to let people inside early right?

    And we got ourselves inside around 11 - 12 and we are on the line at 6 am, too long queue time T_T.

    But I really enjoyed what I experienced (even though I had sunburn and pain all over my body the next day XD). More power to the staff and thanks for the experience. Definitely going next year and I am hoping that problems are already been diminished. Thank You! #BACCHUS!!!!!

    A quick review of #Rampage 2017: Comments and suggestions

    I'll start first with the line:

    Like everyone else said, its a mess that persisted for the years Rampage was held in the same venue (2014-current). The line would stretch from the venue to as far as the eye could see and even beyond the horizon (Philippine Airline Facility & the storage house behind it). To make matters worse, all ticket holders of all categories are stuck in that same boring line that won't move or bulge for an hour or 2 and will take the attendees until afternoon to be finally granted access only to be dissatisfied because merchandise are already out of stock and limited quantities are remaining.

    I then realized that there's a premium line that exists near the entrance of the venue, to which a blockade was erected near the security booth near the Smart balloon where a person nearby was holding a placard that says Premium.

    Now its a regret that premium holders had to endure the same fate as the other two not realizing that a premium line also exists, however also tedious and long but also as disorganized, It took me and my friends several hours to finally get in the venue, but also my friend @dslbis argue with the line marshall to which the latter is too stringent with the lines more than the attendees and their tickets value.

    Like @dslbis said. Garena should improve on queue organization first and foremost if they want to show signs of improvement on conventions, so far, I've seen less people complain and more people appreciate the annual event yet. Its only a matter of time that people would start complaining about the organization of the event and calling it a disaster.

    Freebies:

    This is where I'm dissatisfied with next. People are rushing and squeezing each other into the claim booth only to be turned down by staff because of unmarked tickets or having it date stamped on the back.

    I suggested it last year that to put rails just like the merch caravans to properly contain and line people up to the booth.

    And also the discrepancies between supply and demands is too high that the people who enter last are left disappointed

    Security and Staff:

    They need to increase their manpower due to the increasing volume of people attending Rampage each passing year to make the event enjoyable to everyone and to prevent untoward incidents.

    Event in-a-nutshell:

    Compared to 2016 to which it was enjoyable and fun and to which 2014 was as just as organized, this year was kind of mediocre due to the factors mentioned above, to which Garena didn't completely addressed as such. Otherwise I managed to have fun with and take plenty of pictures with the cosplayers out there, to which I really appreciate on (honestly!)

    Hopefully you can improve over on these mistakes and make it organized as 2014 and exciting as last year.

    Don't make the same mistakes that persisted throughout the years and don't disappoint us.

    Also, bring it on a Saturday since that's the day where most people would go out on a walk and which the player demographic consists of college students and high-schoolers.

    Also bring back the Official Riot Merchandise as well.

    note: didnt read the above responses so i might repeat some of them

    Crowd / Events:
    TBH. the reason why RAMPAGE is crowded is because it is a one day event. Im sure you guys know the population of LoL players and you are also have estimates of number of attendees, so why not make it 2 days event? Compare it to toycon which is a 3 day event. Selling of ticket and buying of things there is hassle free because the crowd are divided into 3 days. IF there are long lines, it wont make it an hour or 2 before your turn.
    Schedule the events evenly. Like for example day 1 is for cosplay clash, day 2 for esports.

    Also if you are worrying that we might not get the whole worth of the ticket (like we are planning to go to day 2 only, therefore we WILL missed the joys of day 1). Worry not, it doesn't really a big deal. Maybe you can just make the ticket valid for 1 day only if you are worrying about the "income".

    Speaking of segments. wish you can add more. Like the DJ Sona from previous rampage (2016?).

    also, it's ok if the stage is dead. most people are dying to get their turn on merch naman :V. wala silang pake kung ano palabas sa stage hehe. Maybe magpalabas nalang kayo ng mga naglalaro since this rampage may playing arena ek ek

    I just cant find it but I believe that it was suggested before, instead of skin, why not as cool as USB Card Type? Or set of Stickers(well thats cheap) or LoL figures (this might be limited to premium holders).

    There are a lot of things that can be a freebie other than the skins

    (punta nga kayo sa wargods baka makakuha kayo ng idea. Try nyo lang pls)

    better kung maiaabot agad sa entrance palang para wala nang iba pang pipilahan ulit. kasi mukhang ewan lang e, may pila sa labas, may pila sa loob :|

    (ilang beses na ito sina-suggest wala parin nangyayari. pramis nakaka beastmode kayo)

    Also posters. bakit parang nawawala yung mga posters!!!!

    what went wrong:

    -Premium without sure seats does not feel premium. The "premium" area felt like a cage congested with people standing beside you. Do you really need more money Garena?

    -Sunday

    -Chaotic swag bag claiming.

    Problem:

    You have bad Event Managers. Hire new ones. It's not an insult, it's the truth. Yung mga errors niyo hindi na kailangan ng in-depth analysis kasi napaka-basic lang considering na naghire naman siguro kayo ng mga graduate ng college or may experience sa event management which is nakakahiya on your part.

    Yung errors ng rampage are very basic event management errors. Kayang gawan ng paraan yan ng event manager na may ACTUAL PLAN. We also have many tech events in my line of work so I know na mostly management ang error ng events niyo.

    Put a limit in pre-ordered tickets. Put booths in the venue with repriced tickets. Halos iisa lang yung booth niyo tapos nagkaka gulo pa kayo kung saan pupwesto. Yung iba niyong coordinators nakatunganga pa sa may food area nagyoyosi habang ung crowd nagkakagulo na.

    Hire better people. Your event managers and coordinators obviously knows too little. Hindi nakakaproud yung mahaba ang pila. Wag kayong childish. Kung toxic yung players at least be the professional ones kasi nakakahiya seriously.

    Wala kayong mahahatak na mga disenteng tao kung ganito kayo mag-handle ng event. Events are your key to success diyan kayo makakahanap ng contacts through different industries. Paano kayo mag iinvite ng sponsor and decision makers kung ganun yung makikitang handling ng event. I'm sure yung mga booths sa loob kayo ang topic. I know two of them and believe me you won't like their personal feedback.

    You are losing contacts with bad events.

    Take it seriously, wag kayong isip bata kasi nakakahiya.

    If mag-apply yung event managers niyo on a company and ako yung HR I won't hire them because I know na sila yung nag organize ng Rampage events. Think on that.

    (I got in through VIP pero nakikita ko yung situation sa labas and feedback ng friends ko)

    Get your s hit together. Wag kayong nakakahiya.

    hello sir. good morning. about the rampage freebie claiming. pwede po ba kaming magkaroon ng extension? bad weather po ngayon at yung parents namen is di pumapayag kasi masama po ang panahon. we know now is the last day. pero sobrang busy po kami para makuha ung freebies dahil sa school lately lang namin nalaman. so please po can you give us some time para makuha ung freebies sa rampage?
